Our local authority client based in Essex are urgently seeking an experienced Leasehold Officer.
£25 an hour PAYE
Hybrid working - Office based 3 - 4 days per week and home working 1 to 2 days per week
JOB PURPOSE
Responsibility for the administration of leaseholder service charges, major works, shared ownership properties, Right to buy applications and other leasehold services income. To take ownership for the performance of leasehold property management, ensuring the correct apportioning and accounting of expenditure. To ensure an outstanding customer service and service delivery. To prepare the annual estimated and actual service charge accounts.
The post covers a wide range of duties assisting with the day to day management of our Leasehold properties, leasehold management, including the collection of service charge arrears.
To issue Section 20 notices in accordance with legislation.
Knowledge
- Working knowledge of how to read and manage Lease’s
- Knowledge of the Orchard Housing Management System.
- Knowledge of the Right to Buy Legislation
Experience
- Demonstrable experience of working in Leasehold Services
- Demonstrable evidence of working in a customer service/focussed environment.
- Experience of arrears recovery in respect of Service Charge and Major works arrears
- Experience of processing Leaseholder Service Charges for Actuals and Estimates.
- Experience of signposting vulnerable Tenants and Identifying safeguarding issues
