The Role
A leading M&E contractor is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major project in the East Midlands.
The project has an M&E value in excess of £40m, so this is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with experience managing the commercial aspects of large-scale M&E projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial delivery of the M&E package
- Cost control, forecasting and reporting
- Managing variations, valuations and final accounts
- Subcontract procurement and management
- Cost/value reconciliation and financial reporting
- Managing commercial risk and contractual obligations
- Working closely with the Project and Commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor
- Experience working on large-scale M&E projects, ideally £40m+ in value
- Strong knowledge of M&E subcontracting and commercial management
- Experience managing variations, valuations, procurement and final accounts
- Strong contractual and commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
