About You

• Engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, BTEC or equivalent
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
• Apprentice trained (Desirable)
• You will have strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of Health & Safety processes and audits
• Experience using CMMS systems, SAP and Microsoft Office, including Excel
• You will be able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical information
• Whilst we need a good team player, you’ll also be comfortable working on your own initiative
• Ability to work in a Panama shift pattern, covering both days and nights

About the role

• You’ll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a range of machinery and equipment
• You’ll respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns, identify the fault and complete repairs as quickly and safely as possible to minimise downtime
• A key part of the role will be to use your fault-finding and root cause analysis skills to identify issues and improve machine reliability
• You’ll work closely with production and other departments to ensure engineering activities support the operation
• You’ll maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used and maintenance activities
• You’ll get involved in engineering projects, equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning
• You’ll attend meetings, analyse data and identify opportunities to improve equipment performance
• You’ll contribute towards key maintenance and engineering KPIs, including equipment reliability, maintenance plans, work order backlog and OEE
