About You
- Engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, BTEC or equivalent
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
- Apprentice trained (Desirable)
- You will have strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of Health & Safety processes and audits
- Experience using CMMS systems, SAP and Microsoft Office, including Excel
- You will be able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical information
- Whilst we need a good team player, you’ll also be comfortable working on your own initiative
- Ability to work in a Panama shift pattern, covering both days and nights
About the role
- You’ll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a range of machinery and equipment
- You’ll respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns, identify the fault and complete repairs as quickly and safely as possible to minimise downtime
- A key part of the role will be to use your fault-finding and root cause analysis skills to identify issues and improve machine reliability
- You’ll work closely with production and other departments to ensure engineering activities support the operation
- You’ll maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used and maintenance activities
- You’ll get involved in engineering projects, equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning
- You’ll attend meetings, analyse data and identify opportunities to improve equipment performance
- You’ll contribute towards key maintenance and engineering KPIs, including equipment reliability, maintenance plans, work order backlog and OEE
