Description
- Prepare and review VAT returns to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Analyse financial data to identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance on VAT-related matters to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor changes in VAT legislation and update processes accordingly.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with budget monitoring.
- Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant (VAT) should have:
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience in preparing and reviewing VAT returns within a government organisation.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply changes in VAT legislation.
- Hold a full accounting qualification (CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, or ACCA).
Job Offer
- Daily rate of £400 to £450, dependent on the level of experience.
- Interim 6 months contract
- Hybrid working ( 2 days on site).
