Our client, a leading automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple locations across the UK, is seeking an experienced MOT Technician to join their busy workshop in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking to develop their career within a reputable company.

  • Competitive starting salary between £36,000 and £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  • Uncapped monthly bonus potential exceeding £3,600 based on performance
  • Guaranteed 42.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, with a rota of one Saturday in two, 8:00am to 4:00pm (day off during the week when working Saturday)

Duties of the MOT Technician:
  • Conduct MOT tests in accordance with Ministry standards
  • Diagnose vehicle faults and perform associated repair and servicing work
  • Provide high-quality workmanship within specified timeframes
  • Assist with workshop support duties as required
  • Occasionally assist at the front reception with customer enquiries
  • Ensure all work complies with company and legal standards
Requirements of the MOT Technician:
  • Proven experience as an MOT Technician
  • A valid MOT licence and a UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Previous experience gained through employment or apprenticeship recognised
  • Friendly, professional, and approachable manner
  • Ability to work effectively within a team to meet targets and deadlines
  • Must live within reasonable commuting distance of Swindon
