We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a prominent automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple centres nationwide, for an experienced Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join their busy Salisbury operation. Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester:
  • Salary between £34,000 and £36,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience

  • Guaranteed 42.5-hour week over five days (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm, plus one in two Saturdays 8:00am-4:00pm with a weekday day off when working a Saturday)
Duties of the Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester:
  • Conduct MOT tests to Ministry standards on customer vehicles
  • Diagnose and undertake servicing and repairs as required
  • Assist with workshop support tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Provide excellent customer service, including occasional front reception assistance
  • Work within company procedures to deliver high-quality work within specified timeframes
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester from employment or apprenticeship
  • Valid MOT licence and a UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Ability to produce high-quality work efficiently and accurately
  • Friendly and approachable manner, with good communication skills
  • Residing within reasonable commuting distance of Salisbury
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to industry standards
