Nursery Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting young children's learning and development? We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming nursery in Ongar, Essex.

Whether you have previous nursery experience or are looking to begin your career in Early Years, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Nursery Assistant, you will:

• Support children aged 0–5 years in their learning and development.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
• Assist with indoor and outdoor play activities.
• Encourage children's communication, creativity and independence.
• Support mealtimes, personal care and daily routines.
• Work closely with colleagues and build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and EYFS requirements at all times.

We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for working with young children.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive, patient and caring approach.
• A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Previous childcare experience is desirable but not essential.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is advantageous but not essential for Nursery Assistant roles.
