The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan and support engaging, age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Build warm, positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Observe, assess and contribute to children's learning and development.
  • Promote children's wellbeing, confidence and independence.
  • Ensure a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional childcare.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification that is suitable for working in an Early Years setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding responsibilities.
  • A positive, caring and enthusiastic approach.

Desirable

  • Previous nursery or preschool experience.
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
  • Confidence in supporting children's observations and learning journals.
