Outbound Sales Agent

I am recruiting for an Appointment Maker to maximise sales through high quality leads and working as a team towards agreed set targets and profitability goals.
You will also provide a high level of sales support by ensuring all queries are responded to in an efficient, professional and timely manner.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identify opportunities, produce leads and book appointments for the New Business Development Manager with the emphasis on high quality leads
2. To manage and maintain the database and proactively follow up leads generated from database and external enquiries, making 60-70 calls per day.
3. To make a minimum of 2 call per annum to all contacts on database.
4. Use of initiative to identify and follow up opportunities with companies who are not already on the database.
5. Manage the database to a high degree of accuracy to ensure targeted marketing activity can take place to generate new business.
6. To set up and send targeted sector mail merges each month with follow up call.
7. Following MailChimp mailing to contact key organisations who have shown an interest.
8. To form relationships with Key individual in potential client sectors
9. To manage the enquiries inbox with the help of the team and actions emails accordingly
10. To help identify tender opportunities via portals and subsidiaries
11. Qualify new data as well as prospecting for new leads
12. Work closely with the New Business Manager and New Business Coordinator to achieve sales objectives
13. Attend monthly meetings with New Business team to update information and discuss any issues.
14. Liaise effectively with all departments within the business to ensure customer requirements are met.
15. Contribute to the team performance by sharing and implementing Best Practice ideas.
16. Provide some administrative support such as filling out set forms and monitoring and sending emails.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
· Computer literate/keyboard skills
· At least 1 – 2 years working within a sales environment preferably in a proactive appointment making / telemarketing role
· Excellent telephone skills
· High degree of accuracy
· Demonstrated ability to prioritise issues
Intellectual Demands
· Must have minimum ‘O’ level/GCSE Maths and English
· Ability to adapt procedures to a new and more effective way of working (in relation primarily to database management)
Skills with People
· Ability to build strong working relationships (internal/external)
· Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
· Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
Hours for this role are Monday- Friday 9am- 4.30pm.
