We are working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced Panel Beater for their busy accident repair centre in Nuneaton. Duties of a Panel Beater:
  • Dismantling and repairing damaged vehicles, including panel repairs and replacements
  • Welding, jigging, and structural repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Repairing and replacing chassis and structural components as required
  • Using tools such as jigs, fixtures, welding equipment, and structural repair tools safely and efficiently
  • Ensuring all repairs meet the company’s quality assurance standards
  • Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment
  • Collaborating with colleagues and management to meet repair schedules and quality targets
  • Communicating effectively regarding work progress, delays, or additional repairs needed
  • Supporting less experienced technicians and contributing to team development
  • Attending relevant training to stay current with new techniques and repair methods
Requirements of a Panel Beater:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Panel Beater
  • Proven expertise in panel repair, welding, jigging, and structural repairs
  • Knowledge of manufacturer specifications, technical bulletins, and repair methods
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
  • Awareness of health, safety, and COSHH regulations
  • IMI accreditation in Panel is preferred
  • Experience working with aluminium and high-strength steel would be advantageous
  • Mentoring or supervisory experience is desirable
