Service Planner (Senior Assistant I, Service Planning)
Role Purpose
The Service Planner is responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordination, and support of field service operations and service projects. The role ensures that engineers, systems, and customer requirements are effectively aligned to deliver safe, high-quality services in accordance with contractual commitments, SLAs, and business objectives.
It is important that the Service Planner is an enthusiastic and confident team player with the ability to multi-task and the drive to achieve results. They will need an ability to work to tight timescales in a pressurised environment and be accountable for each action taken. They will require attention to detail to ensure all records are maintained on all systems that we operate. Critically the role will require strong influencing and interpersonal skills to ensure that the multiple stakeholders involved are informed and managed.
Working as part of a team you will be responsible for facilitating all internal tasks required to enable your technical colleagues to provide a world-class service. You will be an integral part of a fast-moving, ever-evolving business and therefore must have the capability to manage change and act as an ambassador to our customers with a focus on their complete satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule engineers for maintenance, call-outs, warranty work, projects, and contract activities.
- Coordinate materials, spare parts, subcontractors, equipment, and logistics.
- Manage Customer and Partner communications and scheduling updates.
- Support field engineers with planning, documentation, safety and timesheet administration.
- Maintain contract, customer and operational data within ERP, SAP, Oracle, bFS and related systems.
- Work closely with Operations Managers, Project Managers, Order Management, Supply Chain and Sales teams.
- Quality Recall management
- Produce operational reporting with KPI adherence and drive continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience in service planning, scheduling, coordination or operational support.
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and perform under pressure.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, ERP, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce or similar systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Good verbal telephone manner and written communication skills
- Self-starter with a pro-active, can-do approach
- Results orientated
- Travel with overnight stay for training and when required to attend internal and customer meetings
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads to achieve KPI’s
- Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment

For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 35,200 - GBP 52,800 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United Kingdom. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
