Anderson Knight is proud to partner with its client, a well-established and growing organisation, to recruit a Part Qualified Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is part way through their professional accountancy qualification and is looking to build on their existing experience within a supportive and commercially focused finance environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the wider finance team, supporting the day-to-day running of the accounts function and gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities
•    Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
•    Support with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
•    Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
•    Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
•    Support the purchase ledger and sales ledger processes where required.
•    Assist with cashbook management and bank reconciliations.
•    Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
•    Provide support with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
•    Assist with audit preparation and provide information as required.
•    Work closely with other departments to resolve finance-related queries.
•    Contribute to improving processes and ensuring financial procedures are followed.
•    Undertake any other duties that are reasonably required within the finance function.

About You
We are looking for someone who is motivated, organised and keen to continue developing their accountancy career. You will ideally have some previous experience within a finance or accounting role and be actively working towards a recognised accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CIMA 
You will have good attention to detail, be comfortable working with numbers and have the ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines. Good communication skills are also important, as you will be working with colleagues across the wider business.
Key Skills and Experience
•    Part qualified or actively studying towards ACCA or CIMA 
•    Previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
•    Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
•    Experience with reconciliations, journals and month-end processes.
•    Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
•    Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•    Good organisational and time management skills.
•    Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
•    A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
