Primary Sen Teaching Assistant in Hounslow, Greater London

We are seeking 2 Teaching Assistants to join an SEMH school in the London Borough of Hounslow, supporting younger children in a welcoming and supportive school environment.

This is a long-term, full-time, term-time position, starting ASAP, working within a small classroom alongside an experienced Teacher and another Teaching Assistant. The class will have no more than 8 children, allowing you to provide focused and personalised support.

You will be:

• Supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

• Working closely with the class Teacher and another Teaching Assistant to provide consistent support

• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils while maintaining clear boundaries and routines

• Supporting children with their learning, emotional regulation and behaviour

• Helping create a calm, safe and structured classroom environment

• Encouraging pupils to develop their confidence, independence and social skills

• Supporting the teacher with classroom activities, resources and general Teaching Assistant duties

Candidates must be patient, resilient and confident when working with children with SEMH needs. Previous experience supporting children with SEMH, behavioural or additional needs is highly desirable. We are looking for individuals who can remain calm, consistent and positive while helping pupils make meaningful progress.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 4:00pm

Location: Hounslow Borough
Position: Long-term agency role, term-time only
