Premier Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Stockport area seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and committed practitioner with strong Key Stage 1 experience. The school is looking for someone who can quickly establish high expectations, build positive relationships, and support pupils through this important stage of their primary education.
The Role:
- Full class teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class
- Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and effective lessons
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress against Key Stage 1 expectations
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Working closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
- Contributing positively to the wider life of the school
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional approach
- Ability to inspire and motivate young learners
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
