Principal Piping Engineer (Stockton)
We have been retained by px Group to manage the recruitment for a 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗟 𝗣𝗜𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗥 to join pxEngineering in Stockton!
This is a senior, hands-on engineering role delivering minor modifications and projects to the highest standards, across the full life-cycle from Pre-FEED and FEED through to EPC delivery.
As Principal Piping Engineer, you will provide the technical expertise behind the specification, design, procurement support, installation and commissioning of piping systems, and support design assurance for the discipline. You will take on Lead Engineer duties on appropriate projects, making decisions on technical issues, budgets, schedules and safety with a minimum of supervision, and you will deputise for the Discipline Manager as the focal point for technical and managerial decisions.
Alongside project delivery, you will support business winning through capability presentations, execution strategies and cost estimates, help develop junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement in the way the discipline works.
We are looking for a degree qualified engineer with strong piping design experience within the chemicals, petrochemicals, oil and gas or power generation industries. You will be confident with 2D AutoCAD, 3D modelling, Navisworks Manage and Caesar II stress analysis, experienced across the procurement life-cycle, and well versed in the relevant codes and standards including ASME B31.3 / B31.1, BS EN 13480 and the Pressure Equipment Directive.
