Production Operative

Staffline is recruiting Production Operatives to join a busy production team preparing and processing beef and pork products for distribution across the UK.

The rate of pay starts at £12.71 per hour, with opportunities to increase your earnings through training and development.

Operatives trained in knife skills can earn £13.80 per hour upon successful completion of 50% of training, increasing to £14.20 per hour after 27 weeks in a semi-skilled role. Unskilled rates increase to £12.80 per hour after 27 weeks.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, starting at 06:00am until finish, usually between 14:00pm and 16:00pm.

No previous experience is required as full training will be provided.

Your Time at Work

As a Production Operative, your duties may include:

- Preparing and processing beef and pork products
- Working on a production line in a food manufacturing environment
- Using knives and equipment following full training
- Trimming and preparing specific cuts of meat
- Quality checking products to ensure high standards are maintained
- Packing and preparing products for dispatch
- Following food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times
- Working as part of a team to achieve production targets

This role involves working in a chilled environment, standing for extended periods and carrying out manual handling duties.

- You will have a good understanding of basic English and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Applicants should be comfortable handling meat products and carrying out physical duties as part of a production team.
- Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, warehouse, factory or knife-handling roles would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
- We are looking for motivated individuals who are interested in developing their skills and increasing their earnings through our structured training programme.
