Production Shift Lead

Chesterfield, Derbyshire | Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £42,000 – £50,000 DOE

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Production Shift Lead to join a fast-growing manufacturing business investing heavily in its people, technology, and production facilities. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take ownership of a production shift, driving performance, quality, safety, and team engagement in a modern manufacturing environment.

Reporting into the Production Management team, you'll be responsible for leading production teams across multiple departments, ensuring daily production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

• Lead and manage all production activities during your shift.
• Deliver daily production targets across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Drive high standards of health & safety, housekeeping, and quality.
• Lead, motivate, and support production teams and supervisors.
• Resolve production, staffing, material, and equipment issues quickly and effectively.
• Monitor performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide accurate shift handovers and regular updates to senior management.

• Previous experience leading teams within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven ability to deliver production targets in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of health & safety and quality standards.
• A hands-on leader who enjoys being on the shop floor and developing high-performing teams.

Either:

• Monday to Friday: 3:00pm – 11:00pm

Or:

• Monday: 6:00am – 3:30pm
• Tuesday to Friday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
