Description
Provide comprehensive financial management and reporting across a portfolio of projects, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely analysis of financial data.
Monitor project performance, including revenue, costs, profitability, order bookings and backlog, providing meaningful financial insights to support decision-making.
Produce accurate monthly financial reports and analysis, highlighting key trends, risks, opportunities and variances against budget and forecast.
Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes, supporting project and business unit financial planning activities.
Review project cost estimates and analyse financial performance to explain variances and improve forecast accuracy.
Support revenue recognition processes and project reviews, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Maintain robust financial controls to ensure accurate billing, revenue collection, cost allocation, and financial reporting.
Ensure project-related costs are appropriately authorised, recorded, allocated, and reported within financial systems.
Partner with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, providing financial guidance and commercial support.
Collaborate with senior finance stakeholders to deliver ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Profile
Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
Experience in project accounting, management accounting, or project finance environments.
Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Strong knowledge of financial controls and accounting principles.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of revenue recognition methodologies and project financial management.
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £60,000 to £65,000, dependent on the level of experience.
