  • Leading reviews of operational assets to identify opportunities for rationalisation, cost reduction and improved utilisation.
  • Providing professional advice on all aspects of property asset management and occupation.
  • Delivering a range of property transactions and projects, including freehold and leasehold disposals, acquisitions, estate rationalisation initiatives and development advice.
  • Negotiating and completing legal property agreements and transactions.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external partners to identify innovative solutions and shared opportunities.
  • Leading service-specific property reviews and contributing to wider strategic estate initiatives.
  • Line managing and supporting one or more Property Managers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team.

About You

You will bring:

  • A relevant property qualification and significant experience in proactive estate management within a large or complex organisation.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to provide clear, professional advice across a wide range of service areas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience developing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • The ability to understand service needs and translate strategic objectives into practical property outcomes.
  • Experience managing acquisitions, disposals, leases and wider property transactions.
  • A collaborative approach to relationship building while constructively challenging existing asset use to drive improvement.
  • Knowledge of the wider property market and an understanding of opportunities arising from partnership working with other public sector organisations.
  • Experience leading teams or supervising professional staff.
