Premier Education is recruiting Psychology graduates to support pupils in inclusive primary schools across Central and South Manchester from September 2026. These roles are ideal for graduates considering a career in Educational Psychology, teaching, SEN, counselling or child and adolescent mental health.

You'll gain meaningful, hands-on experience supporting children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health needs. Some pupils may also present behavioural challenges, giving you the opportunity to develop valuable skills in emotional regulation, positive behaviour support and de-escalation.

Depending on the school and pupils' needs, you may be:

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups

• Helping children engage with learning and classroom activities

• Supporting pupils to manage their emotions and regulate their behaviour

• Delivering targeted activities and interventions

• Working closely with teachers, teaching assistants and the SENCO

• Following individual support plans and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

• Providing a calm, consistent and encouraging presence throughout the school day

• Helping to create an inclusive environment in which every child can succeed

• Valuable experience in diverse and inclusive primary schools

• Direct experience supporting children with a range of additional needs

• An understanding of EHCPs, targeted interventions and inclusive practice

• Stronger behaviour management and de-escalation skills

• Experience working alongside teachers, SENCOs and support professionals

• A solid foundation for postgraduate training or a career in Educational Psychology, teaching or child mental health

• A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement

• A 2:1 or above in Psychology or a closely related degree, completed or due to be completed in 2026

• Recent experience working with children through tutoring, coaching, childcare, volunteering or a similar setting

• A confident, resilient and engaging personality

• A patient, compassionate and consistent approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• The ability to travel to schools across Central or South Manchester

• The legal right to work in the UK-we are unable to offer visa sponsorship

• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
