Example Recruitment Group are working with a well-established property services contractor delivering reactive maintenance and repairs within the social housing sector. Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to join their team based in Stratford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in social housing repairs, commercial validation and quality assurance who is looking to play a key role in maintaining service quality, compliance and contractual performance.

The Role

As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will support the delivery of high-quality, compliant and commercially robust reactive maintenance services across social housing contracts. Working closely with planners, supervisors, operatives, subcontractors and clients, you will ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out desktop quality assurance checks on completed repairs.
  • Validate Schedule of Rates (SOR/NHF) and commercial claims.
  • Review and authorise repair variations where appropriate.
  • Monitor compliance with Health & Safety and asbestos procedures.
  • Conduct audits, post-inspections and quality reviews.
  • Produce performance reports and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support operational teams to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure repairs meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Assist in driving continuous service improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance or reactive repairs.
  • Strong understanding of responsive maintenance contracts.
  • Experience working with Schedule of Rates (SOR/NHF).
  • Experience validating repair variations and commercial claims.
  • Knowledge of asbestos processes, compliance and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience carrying out quality assurance, auditing or post-inspections.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and job management systems.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
