Quality Inspector

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in a production or engineering environment who takes pride in maintaining high quality standards and ensuring products meet customer and industry specifications.

You'll play a key role in inspecting components throughout the manufacturing process, identifying non-conformances, and working closely with production teams to maintain quality and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Use a wide range of precision measuring equipment to verify component dimensions and tolerances.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality documentation.
• Identify, report, and investigate non-conforming products in accordance with company procedures.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent repeat quality issues.
• Work closely with production, engineering, and management teams to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Ensure all measuring equipment is handled correctly and report any calibration concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe inspection area.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

About You

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, or Quality Technician within manufacturing.
• A strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and dimensional inspection.
• Experience using a variety of precision measuring instruments
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection.
• The confidence to challenge quality concerns and stop production where necessary.
