Quality Manager - MEICA
£480 per day Outside IR35 | Contract | NEC3 Option A | MEICA / WIMES
Immediate Requirement | Birmingham Site


Immediate opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join a major infrastructure project in the Birmingham area, supporting the delivery of MEICA works across mechanical pumping systems, electrical installations and control instrumentation.

This is a key quality role within an established project team, requiring someone who can operate confidently within an NEC3 Option A environment, engage effectively with the client and supply chain, and drive quality from installation and testing through to final handover.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage the Project Quality Plan (PQP) across MEICA works
  • Develop and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) covering pumps, electrical systems, controls and SCADA
  • Manage WIMES compliance across suppliers and subcontractors
  • Lead and verify FAT, SAT, commissioning and performance testing
  • Manage LTQR / QRP documentation, ensuring quality records are complete and ready for handover
  • Manage NCRs, defects, CAPAs and Test & Inspection Registers
  • Work closely with the Client, NEC Supervisor, Project Manager and supply chain
  • Drive quality assurance through to Completion and Takeover

The Person:

  • Quality Management experience within MEICA infrastructure projects
  • Degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical or MEICA Engineering
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification - essential
  • Strong experience with NEC3 Option A / NEC3 accreditation - Supervisor or Project Manager preferred
  • Proven experience across MEICA, pumping systems, electrical and control systems
  • Strong understanding of WIMES, FAT/SAT, commissioning and LTQR/QRP
  • Excellent customer and supply chain engagement skills
  • Strong team player able to integrate quickly into an established project environment
  • Experience on major infrastructure, rail or water projects highly advantageous, including HS2, Crossrail or Network Rail
