The Role
You will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, project teams and subcontractors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project budgets, costs and financial reporting.
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
- Preparing valuations, variations and payment applications.
- Managing commercial risk and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Preparing forecasts and monitoring project performance.
- Managing subcontractor accounts through to final account.
- Supporting tenders and pre-construction activities.
- Building strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
- Experience across high-end residential, refurbishment or complex construction projects.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Experience managing subcontractor packages and final accounts.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills.
- A proactive, organised and commercially focused approach.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
