Your new company
A specialist civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) development in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an opportunity to secure a long-term contract on a high-profile energy infrastructure project, supporting the delivery of civils and enabling works from site.

With a programme expected to run for up to two years, this role offers stability, competitive rates and the chance to play a key commercial role on a nationally significant project within the growing renewable energy sector.

Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial delivery of civils and enabling works associated with a Battery Energy Storage System project. This is a full-time role with a strong site presence required, working closely with project stakeholders to ensure commercial objectives are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.

The project is being administered under an amended remeasurable FIDIC contract, making this an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with relevant contract experience to join a long-term infrastructure scheme.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:

  • Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or energy projects
  • Good working knowledge of FIDIC contracts
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operational and project teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract administration skills
  • Immediate or within short notice availability
  • Full UK driving licence.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive:

  • Up to £450 per day
  • Outside IR35 engagement
  • 18-24 month contract duration
  • Opportunity to work on a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project
  • Hybrid working available alongside site-based project involvement
  • Long-term project stability within a growing infrastructure contractor.
