Quantity Surveyor - Utilities (Temp-to-Perm)

Your new companyI'm working with a Tier 1 Contractor delivering major projects across the utilities and infrastructure sectors. With a strong pipeline of work and long-term frameworks secured, the organisation is continuing to grow its commercial team and is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of the utilities projects. Working within a collaborative commercial team, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially successfully.
Your new roleAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial management of a portfolio of infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and managing applications for payment
- Cost reporting, forecasting and CVR production
- Subcontract procurement and account management
- Managing variations and change control processes
- Reviewing and administering contracts
- Supporting compensation event and commercial change processes
- Managing cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reporting
- Working closely with operational teams to maximise value and minimise risk
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Supporting project delivery across multiple sites where required
This role requires you to be in the office 3 days per week.
What you'll need to succeed
- Quantity Surveying experience within utilities, nuclear, aviation, environmental or M&E
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role
- Willing to go Permanent
- White CSCS Card or relevant professional qualification
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- Experience producing CVRs, forecasts and cost reports
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts and applications for payment
- Good understanding of NEC contracts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
