Reliability Engineering Leader

  • Competitive salary + annual shift allowance

  • Shift-based role with rotation every 2 weeks

    • Day Shift: 06:00 - 14:00

    • Night Shift: 14:00 - 22:00



What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you won't just maintain equipment - you'll help drive reliability across the site.

You'll be the go-to engineering lead on shift, supporting both your team and production to keep everything running safely and efficiently.

You'll be:

  • Taking ownership of CMMS work orders and keeping maintenance activity up to date

  • Leading and supporting PPM and reactive maintenance work

  • Diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical faults to reduce downtime

  • Working closely with production teams to hit performance targets

  • Supporting shutdowns, overhauls and planned maintenance activities

  • Coordinating contractors and making sure work is done safely and correctly

  • Driving continuous improvement ideas that make the site better every day

  • Supporting and developing shift engineers through coaching and training

  • Making sure safety, GMP and food safety standards are always met

  • Keeping tools, equipment and critical plant in top condition







What You'll Need to Bring

We're looking for someone practical, reliable and confident in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing engineering environment

  • Hands-on maintenance background (not just theory)

  • Confidence supervising engineers or contractors on shift

  • Good understanding of health & safety standards (IOSH desirable)

  • Comfortable using CMMS systems and basic IT tools

  • Strong communication and team working skills

  • A proactive, "fix it properly" mindset







Qualifications

  • Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or equivalent)

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (or equivalent electrical qualification)

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance of production equipment

  • FLT licence (nice to have, not essential)
