Residential Care Practitioner – Children’s Residential Homes (Derby)
We are currently recruiting for 7 Residential Care Practitioners to join our children’s residential homes in Derby, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a safe and supportive environment.

Role Overview
You will provide day-to-day care and support to young people, helping to create a stable, positive environment that promotes their development and wellbeing.
Key Requirements
- Must hold one of the following:
- Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
- Minimum 1 year experience working with children (not early years)
- Experience in residential care or youth work (EBD experience advantageous)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Working Pattern
- Approx. 56.5 hours per week (including sleep-ins)
- Shift pattern:
- 08:00–23:00 + sleep
- Morning handover the following day (08:00–08:30)
- 3-week rolling rota
- Approx. 10 shifts per month
- Includes training and team meetings (approx. 244.5 hours/month total)
