Road Freight Import - Export Operator in Felixstowe, Suffolk

A major UK & International Freight forwarding organisation is looking to add an import and/or export road freight operator to their team. The role will entail dealing with import and export road freight FCL, groupage etc. 

ROLE: Road Freight Import - Export Operator

LOCATION: Felixstowe

BASIC SALARY: £32k to £35k

BENEFITS: Life assurance, pension, 25 days holiday

ROLE: 

Working within a department of road freight forwarders.

· Handling European groupage and FCL services.

· Arranging movement of freight from origin to final destination, both international and national.

· Liaising with customers, overseas partners and suppliers.

Skills required:

· Must have a good understanding of European road freight, at least 2 years’ experience.

· Capable of manually calculating costs and charges.

· Understanding of taxable kilos.

· Good customer service skills.

· Experience with Customs paperwork. (Not doing the clearances)

· Ability to work in a team but also be self-sufficient.
