Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and producing customer quotations.
  • Processing a high volume of customer and product orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Taking and managing orders by telephone and email.
  • Speaking confidently with customers and building strong, long-term working relationships.

  • Looking for opportunities to improve the customer experience and the way our client works.

The Person They’re Looking For

You may already be an experienced Sales Administrator, or you may have developed strong customer-facing and commercial skills in another role. What matters most to them is your attitude, capability and willingness to learn.

You are likely to thrive if you:

  • Have at least 2 years' experience in a customer-facing, sales or client-focused role.
  • Are confident and professional when speaking with customers on the telephone.
  • Have a positive, proactive and solution-focused attitude.
  • Take ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.
  • Are commercially aware and motivated by achieving results.
  • Learn quickly and adapt well to new systems, products and processes.
  • Are highly organised and capable of managing several priorities at once.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally and promptly.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Are comfortable using modern IT systems and CRM software.
  • Work well independently while also being a genuine team player.
  • Enjoy being part of a growing business where everyone is prepared to contribute.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, our client will support you to develop a strong understanding of their company, their customers and their day-to-day operations.

Successful team members will:

  • Build trusted relationships with customers.
  • Deliver consistently excellent customer service, including during busy periods.
  • Respond quickly and proactively to customers and colleagues.
  • Keep customers informed rather than waiting for them to chase.
  • Produce accurate quotes and process orders efficiently.
  • Plan their workload effectively and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Contribute positively to sales performance and team objectives.
  • Look for better, smarter and more efficient ways of doing things.
  • Become someone the wider team can rely on.
