Salary: £26,000–£30,000 per annum DOE
We’re looking to recruit a proactive and organised Sales Administrator to join our client based in Poole. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous sales administration experience who enjoys working in a busy office environment and is keen to learn new skills.
The role will primarily focus on supporting the sales team with day-to-day administrative duties, customer orders and enquiries. You will also have the opportunity to learn and provide support to the purchasing department, making this an ideal position for someone looking to broaden their experience and develop their skills across different areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing customer orders and ensuring information is entered accurately onto internal systems.
- Preparing quotations, order acknowledgements and relevant sales documentation.
- Responding to customer enquiries by telephone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Liaising with customers regarding order progress, product availability and delivery dates.
- Supporting the sales team with general administrative duties and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Working closely with internal departments to provide customers with accurate information on product availability and lead times.
- Assisting with general purchasing administration and learning the processes involved in raising and processing purchase orders.
- Liaising with suppliers to check pricing, stock availability and delivery lead times.
- Monitoring outstanding orders and helping to chase suppliers to ensure deliveries arrive on schedule.
- Maintaining accurate supplier records and updating order information on internal systems.
- Supporting the purchasing team with stock availability, delivery updates and general supplier queries.
- Communicating with colleagues across sales, purchasing and production to help ensure customer and business requirements are met.
