Are you a hands-on Sales Manager who knows how to get the best from a team?
We're recruiting for a growing, ambitious business looking for an experienced Sales Manager to take ownership of a small sales team and help drive the next stage of growth.
What you'll be doing
- Leading, motivating and developing a small sales team.
- Driving sales performance and increasing enquiry-to-order conversion rates.
- Setting clear individual and team targets, KPIs and performance expectations.
- Monitoring results and identifying where opportunities are being lost.
- Coaching team members to improve their sales approach, confidence and conversion.
- Ensuring enquiries and quotations are followed up proactively and consistently.
- Reviewing sales processes and introducing improvements that help the team convert more business.
- Ensuring customers receive an excellent experience throughout the sales and order process.
About you
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience managing and developing a sales team.
- A track record of improving sales performance and conversion rates.
- Experience setting and managing sales targets and KPIs.
- Strong coaching and people-management skills.
- The confidence to challenge underperformance and recognise strong performance.
- A proactive, commercially focused approach.
- A hands-on management style – you're happy to get involved and lead from the front.
Experience within manufacturing, construction, building products, home improvements or a technical/product-led sales environment would be useful, but isn't essential.
