Seed Sales Specialist

Remote-friendly

We're working with a well-established name in the agricultural industry who are looking for a Seed Sales Specialist to join their team and take ownership of an established Midlands territory.

This is a great opportunity for someone who knows farming, enjoys working with people and wants to build a career in agricultural sales.

You'll be looking after an existing customer base, so there's no expectation to start from scratch with endless cold calling. Instead, you'll be building relationships with farmers, agronomists and farm groups, promoting the company's seed varieties and identifying opportunities to grow the territory.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing and developing an established customer base across the Midlands
  • Selling and promoting a range of seed varieties
  • Building strong relationships with farmers and agronomists
  • Looking for opportunities to grow sales across multiple crops
  • Organising farmer meetings, demonstrations and trials
  • Attending trade shows and industry events
  • Working closely with the wider regional sales team
  • Managing your customers, orders and activity through CRM

What are we looking for?

You don't need to tick every box, but you'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience within agriculture
  • Practical farming experience and a good understanding of commercial agriculture
  • A genuine interest in seed and crop production
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good IT skills

Seed or agronomy experience would be a real bonus, as would BASIS Seed Sellers, BASIS Foundation, BASIS Crop Protection or FACTS qualifications.

The business is also big on developing its people, so this could suit someone who is at that stage of their career where they're ready to take on more responsibility and grow commercially.

You'll also be part of an experienced regional sales team, working closely with colleagues and reporting into the Regional Sales Manager.

What's in it for you?

The salary is competitive and negotiable depending on experience, alongside a company car and wider benefits package.

The role is home based, covering an established Midlands territory.

The successful candidate should ideally live within or close to the trading area, as the role involves regular travel to farms and customers throughout the region.
