The Role

As a SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with a range of additional needs.

You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support pupils in achieving their academic, social, and emotional goals
• Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting
• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals
• Promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour
• Contribute to the wider life and development of the school

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has a passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
• Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and behaviour management
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
• Has strong communication and organisational skills
• Is patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
• Has a genuine desire to improve outcomes for every pupil

Previous SEND experience would be advantageous, but applications are welcomed from teachers looking to transition from mainstream education into a specialist setting.
