SEN Teaching Assistant - Ipswich - September Start

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Ipswich, starting September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and looking to develop their skills within a nurturing school environment that offers strong mentorship and ongoing professional development.

The school is looking for a committed practitioner with effective behaviour management skills, strong communication abilities, and proven experience supporting children with SEN across the primary age range.




📌 CONTRACT DETAILS

  • Location - Ipswich

  • Position - SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Type of work - Classroom & 1:1 SEN support

  • Start date - September

  • Duration - Ongoing / Long‑term

  • Full time/part‑time - Full time

  • Rate of pay - ÂŁ90-ÂŁ120 per day (depending on experience)

  • Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm




📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • SEN experience is essential (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language, or other additional needs)

  • Experience supporting children in a UK primary school (placements accepted)

  • Relevant TA or SEN‑specific training desirable

  • Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)




✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK

  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

  • Provide two professional child‑related references
