SEN Teaching Assistant in Ipswich, Suffolk

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Ipswich, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them reach their full potential within an inclusive learning environment.

The school is looking for a patient, caring and committed practitioner with strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils who require additional support.

📌 CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location - Ipswich
• Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
• Type of work - 1:1 support and small group interventions
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
• Full time/part-time - Full time
• Rate of pay - £90-£100 per day (depending on experience)
• Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm

📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a UK school setting (placements accepted)
• Experience working with pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, or additional learning needs desirable
• Relevant TA training or qualifications desirable
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)

✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
• Provide two professional child-related references
