SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support

We are recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive primary school in Watford, providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils who require additional help with their learning and development.

This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or someone with previous experience in education, childcare, care or youth work.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils
• Assist children in accessing the curriculum
• Support differentiated activities and interventions
• Encourage communication, confidence and independence
• Support social, emotional and behavioural development
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

• Confident supporting children with additional needs
• Able to remain calm and positive
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable and consistent
• Previous SEN experience is desirable
• TA Level 2/3 or equivalent experience would be advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
