We Do Social Work Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority for an experienced SEND Keyworker to join a dedicated and supportive SEND team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND professional to make a real impact by supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You'll manage a caseload of children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), coordinating assessments, leading multi-agency working and helping families navigate the statutory SEND process.

As a SEND Keyworker, you'll act as the main point of contact for children, young people, families and education settings, ensuring a person-centred approach is at the heart of every assessment and Education, Health and Care Plan.

Working closely with education, health and social care professionals, you'll coordinate statutory assessments, chair multi-agency meetings, review EHCPs and help secure appropriate educational provision that delivers positive outcomes.

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with SEND.
• Coordinate statutory Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments.
• Develop, review and maintain high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Act as the main point of contact for families, schools, colleges and partner agencies.
• Chair and participate in multi-agency meetings using a person-centred approach.
• Monitor annual reviews and ensure plans remain appropriate and outcome-focused.
• Support families through the statutory SEND process, providing advice and guidance.
• Liaise with education providers to identify suitable placements and provision.
• Contribute to mediation and tribunal processes where required.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory SEND legislation and timescales.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience working within SEND, education, social care or a Local Authority setting.
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessment process.
• Experience managing EHCPs and statutory assessments.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with families and multi-agency partners.
• The ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise competing demands.
• A person-centred approach with a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
• A relevant professional qualification in education, social work, health or a related discipline is desirable.
