Salary: £165 - £235 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Birmingham that provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for pupils with a range of additional needs. The school is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential through personalised support, strong pastoral care and a child-centred approach to learning.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teacher on a long-term basis. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for planning and preparing engaging lessons for pupils who are non-verbal and display challenging behaviour, ensuring all learners can access a meaningful and differentiated curriculum while maintaining a safe and positive classroom environment.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS

• Experience working as a SEND Teacher within a specialist or mainstream setting

• Experience supporting pupils who are non-verbal

• Proven ability to manage and support challenging behaviour effectively

• Experience planning, preparing and delivering differentiated lessons

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
