Conrad Consulting is working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking to strengthen its established London Building Surveying team with the appointment of a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MRICS Building Surveyor to take on a senior position within a highly respected consultancy, working with major clients and a diverse portfolio of property across London and the wider UK.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, deliver complex professional instructions and lead a variety of building surveying projects, while playing an important role in the continued growth of the wider team.
The RoleAs a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor, you will be involved in:
- Leading a broad range of professional building surveying instructions.
- Undertaking technical due diligence, building and condition surveys.
- Preparing detailed technical reports and schedules of works.
- Providing defect diagnosis and strategic property advice.
- Delivering project-based instructions from inception through to completion.
- Preparing specifications, tender documentation and contract administration.
- Acting as Contract Administrator on a range of refurbishment and maintenance projects.
- Managing client relationships and developing repeat business.
- Supporting junior surveyors and contributing to the development of the wider team.
- Working collaboratively with project managers, quantity surveyors, engineers and other multidisciplinary professionals.
You will have considerable autonomy within the role, with the opportunity to work across a varied client portfolio and take responsibility for technically challenging and commercially significant instructions.
About YouThe ideal candidate will be:
- MRICS qualified with a Building Surveying degree or relevant equivalent qualification.
- Experienced within a consultancy environment.
- Strong across both professional and project-based building surveying.
- Technically competent with excellent knowledge of building pathology and construction.
- Experienced in contract administration, specifications and project delivery.
- Confident managing client relationships and delivering a high level of service.
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to business development.
- A strong communicator who can work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Keen to take the next step in their career within a large, established consultancy.
- Salary of £65,000 - £75,000 depending on experience.
