A progressive Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Estates Surveyor to support the management and optimisation of its diverse property portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive estates professional with strong public sector experience to play a key role in delivering asset management, income generation and property strategy objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial, operational and investment properties.
- Lead on landlord and tenant matters including lease renewals, rent reviews and licence negotiations.
- Undertake property acquisitions, disposals and valuations.
- Identify and deliver opportunities for income generation and asset optimisation.
- Provide strategic property advice to senior stakeholders and service departments.
- Instruct and manage external consultants, agents and legal teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and local authority policies.
- Support wider property and regeneration projects as required.
Requirements
- MRICS qualified
- Proven Estates Surveying experience within a Local Authority
- Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation.
- Experience of acquisitions, disposals, rent reviews and lease negotiations.
- Ability to manage a varied property portfolio with minimal supervision.
- Excellent stakeholder management and report-writing skills.
