Key duties and responsibilities:
- Run payroll for a complex checklist of agencies.
- Ensure the service in the Payroll team is kept to the highest quality by addressing queries and maintaining high accuracy.
- Manage financial controls, such as outstanding advances and overpayments, ensuring the team consistently addresses these issues.
- Lead the team by organizing workloads, overseeing tasks, and ensuring email SLAs are met.
- Handle escalations and assist with ongoing projects within the team.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure comprehensive coverage of payroll tasks.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the CX and Sales teams, handling internal and external queries and ensuring team accuracy and KPI achievement.
- Ensure all payments are processed accurately and on time, managing a portfolio of clients and completing checklists each payroll cycle.
- Assess PAYE and National Insurance levies on payslips, reconcile payments weekly, and resolve complex payroll technical queries.
- Build rapport with clients to understand their needs, manage deadlines, and address any issues promptly.
Skills and experience:
- At least 3 years of payroll experience.
- Financial Services experience would be beneficial but not essential
- Exceptional communication skills with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational abilities.
- CIPP qual would be beneficial but not essential
- Approachable, team-oriented, and solutions-focused mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines, with clear communication if deadlines are at risk.
