Planner / Senior Planner

Location: London / Hybrid

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planner or Senior Planner to join a growing London-based consultancy, supporting major construction and infrastructure projects.

Working with a range of main contractors and subcontractors, you will provide planning expertise across medium to large-scale projects, with a particular focus on NEC contracts and change management.

This is a great opportunity for a personable and proactive Planner who enjoys getting involved in complex projects and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes

  • Provide planning support across major construction and infrastructure projects

  • Work closely with main contractors, subcontractors and project stakeholders

  • Monitor project progress against agreed programmes

  • Identify programme risks, delays and potential impacts

  • Support NEC contract planning and programme requirements

  • Assist with change management and programme impact assessments

  • Produce accurate planning reports and project updates

  • Manage multiple project requirements and competing deadlines

  • Senior Planners will take greater responsibility for change management and complex programme issues

Experience Required

Planner:

  • Minimum 2+ years' post-graduate planning experience

  • Experience within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects

  • Experience working with NEC contracts

  • Strong understanding of construction programmes and project delivery

Senior Planner:

  • Minimum 5+ years' post-graduate planning experience

  • Strong construction or infrastructure planning experience

  • Demonstrable change management experience

  • Confident managing complex programmes and working with multiple stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications

Degree in Construction, Project Management or a related discipline

Civil Engineering qualification would be advantageous

Experience using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project

Strong knowledge of NEC construction planning

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Good IT literacy

Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects

Confident working independently as well as part of a wider project team
