Senior Quality Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a major infrastructure organisation in the search for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a flagship project in Immingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Quality professional looking to take on a senior, site-based role where you'll influence quality culture across a complex engineering and construction project. You'll work closely with project leadership, subcontractors and delivery teams to ensure works are completed to the highest standards whilst driving a culture of "Right First Time, Every Time."

Acting as the quality lead across your designated areas, you'll provide technical guidance to project teams, oversee subcontractor performance, manage inspections and surveillance activities, and support continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a highly visible role where you'll build strong relationships with delivery teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients, ensuring quality remains at the forefront of every stage of the project.

• Lead and promote a proactive quality culture across the project.
• Review and approve subcontractor quality documentation including Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Test Records (ITRs), Material Compliance Records (MCRs), calibration registers and supporting documentation.
• Carry out quality inspections and surveillance activities across site, ensuring compliance with project and contractual requirements.
• Identify, investigate and manage non-conformances, driving corrective and preventative actions.
• Produce Quality Surveillance Reports and monthly Quality Performance Reports, analysing trends and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Support project teams with inspections, handover documentation and quality assurance throughout the construction process.
• Deliver quality inductions and training to project personnel and subcontractors.
• Chair quality meetings and provide technical support to delivery teams and senior project stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior Quality Engineers, encouraging best practice and professional development.
• Contribute to lessons learned activities and continuous improvement initiatives across the project.

We're looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in major construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

You'll have excellent stakeholder management skills and be confident influencing subcontractors, project teams and senior leadership to achieve exceptional quality standards.

You will also have:

• Extensive Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience within construction or infrastructure environments.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation and subcontractor submissions.
• Knowledge of NCR management, inspections, surveillance and quality reporting.
• Excellent root cause analysis and continuous improvement skills.
• Strong communication, organisation and leadership abilities.
• Relevant qualification in Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
