What will the Senior Tax Accountant role involve?

  • Taking ownership of the management of direct tax matters, ensuring full compliance while identifying opportunities for tax efficiency and optimisation
  • Providing specialist tax advice and support to the wider finance team on complex and commercially significant tax matters
  • Working closely with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and submissions
  • Monitoring changes in UK tax legislation and assessing their potential impact on the business, ensuring appropriate action is taken
  • Supporting the development and implementation of the organisation’s tax strategy, with a focus on effective planning and sustainable business growth
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and communicating complex tax matters in a clear and commercially focused way

Suitable Candidate for the Senior Tax Accountant vacancy

The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • Proven experience in a corporate tax role within a UK-based organisation
  • A strong understanding of UK tax legislation, compliance requirements and corporate tax returns
  • The ability to provide clear, practical tax advice to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with internal teams and external advisors
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach, with the ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to continued professional development and a genuine ambition to progress their career
