Are you an experienced Service Advisor seeking a new opportunity with a reputable employer in Swindon? Our client, a well-established, family-run motor retail group and an AM Award Dealer Group of the Year winner, is looking to recruit a professional and motivated Vehicle Service Advisor to join their busy Service Department.

  • Starting salary around £30,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
  • OTE of £42,000+ per year, inclusive of a performance-related bonus scheme and overtime

Duties of a Service Advisor:
  • Greet customers and book vehicles in for service or repair work
  • Advise customers on vehicle issues, providing technical guidance where necessary
  • Liaise closely with the workshop team, chasing work in progress and updating customers regularly
  • Upsell additional services and products where appropriate
  • Take payments for completed work and process transactions efficiently
  • Promote service plans and warranty options to maximise sales
  • Maintain high standards of customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work alongside colleagues to meet departmental targets and deliver a first-class customer experience
Requirements of a Service Advisor:
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a Service Advisor or similar within the motor trade
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to influence customer decisions and upsell services effectively
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic procedures, with experience in warranty work highly advantageous (though not essential)
  • Proficiency in IT systems; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop DMS is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Organised with excellent time management skills
  • Enthusiasm for working within a manufacturer-approved environment and delivering exceptional customer service
