We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major highways infrastructure project in Scotland, supporting the delivery of the drainage package.
The Role
- Delivering setting out and engineering duties across the drainage package.
- Setting out drainage runs, manholes, chambers and associated infrastructure.
- Interpreting construction drawings, specifications and site plans.
- Ensuring works are delivered accurately and in line with project specifications.
- Conducting as-built surveys and maintaining accurate site records.
- Working closely with Site Agents, Site Engineers, subcontractors and the wider project team.
- Monitoring quality, progress and compliance with health and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering or highways projects.
- Strong experience delivering drainage packages.
- Proficient in setting out using surveying equipment such as GPS and total stations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Relevant engineering qualifications or demonstrable equivalent experience.
Contract Details
- Rate: £350–£450 per day, depending on experience.
- Start: ASAP.
- Duration: 18 months.
- Location: Scotland, Perthshire area.
- Accommodation and a vehicle may be available!
