Our client, Ringway, a trusted provider of highways services to the public sector, is seeking a Site Agent to join their team in Hertfordshire.

As a Site Agent, you will take pride in leading works on site, creating a safe, well organised and positive environment for your team and the wider community. You will balance practical delivery with strong leadership, ensuring schemes are completed to a high standard while reflecting our values in everything you do.

Key responsibilities

• Lead health, safety, quality and environmental standards across site activities.
• Act as a visible role model, setting the tone for safe and professional working practices.
• Plan and manage daily works to meet programme and production targets.
• Support and motivate site teams, encouraging collaboration and accountability.
• Oversee cost control and value, ensuring processes are followed accurately.
• Carry out inspections and audits to maintain quality and compliance.
• Build respectful relationships with colleagues, clients and the public.
• Ensure sites are presented professionally, including PPE and housekeeping.

Essential skills and requirements

• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Confident communicator who can lead, motivate and support others.
• Organised approach to planning, paperwork and problem solving.
• Flexible and resilient, with a hands on and practical mindset.
• CSCS Supervisor card and relevant Street Works qualifications.
• Full driving licence, with readiness to gain additional licences if required.
• Competence in operating tools, light plant and site equipment.
• Ability to carry out basic safety, quality and environmental checks.
