Site Engineer – Northallerton

I am currently working alongside a leading groundworks and civil engineering contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer to join their team in Northallerton, following the award of a number of new contracts.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in groundworks, drainage and foundations to join an established contractor on a long-term project.

Site Engineer Responsibilities

• Setting out accurately using Total Station and other surveying equipment.

• Setting out groundworks, drainage, external works and foundations.

• Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site management team to ensure works are delivered efficiently.

• Checking works are being completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and agreed methodologies.

• Monitoring quality and ensuring works are completed to the required standards.

• Ensuring all relevant health and safety requirements are adhered to on site.

• Identifying and reporting any technical issues or discrepancies to the project management team.

• Ensuring the correct site documentation, drawings and records are maintained.

• Carrying out as-built surveys and recording completed works where required.

• Ensuring works are completed on time, within programme and to specification.

Site Engineer Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within groundworks and civil engineering.

• Strong setting-out experience across groundworks, drainage, external works and foundations.

• Confident using Total Station and other surveying equipment.

• Valid CSCS Card.

• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Right to work in the UK.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a site team.
