Site Manager

A UK-based construction consultancy is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a barn conversion project based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.

This is an excellent opportunity to manage a high-quality heritage conversion project from site, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards. The role is available on either a temporary or permanent basis, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and suppliers.
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with current health and safety legislation.
• Monitor programme, quality, and productivity to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and snagging.
• Manage site logistics, materials, and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and project documentation.
• Liaise with the client, consultants, and wider project team to ensure effective communication throughout the project.
• Resolve site issues promptly and proactively while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
• Experience delivering residential, refurbishment, heritage, or barn conversion projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and quality management.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme delivery.
• Full UK driving licence.

Essential Qualifications

• SMSTS.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• First Aid at Work certification.
